BSA Specialist I (1 opening)
The BSA Specialist I reviews suspicious activity in the system’s generated reports and escalates alerts from various business lines regarding consumer and business accounts. S/he will assist in the communication, investigation, and dissemination of information concerning to BSA regulatory requirements and AML policies.
Beneficial Banker (5 openings)
The primary duties of a Beneficial Banker vary from greeting customers to processing deposits and payments as well as maintaining our customers’ accounts. The Beneficial Banker will assist in verifying customer identities, posting their loan payments, and balancing all daily transactions.
Branch Manager (1 opening)
The Branch Manager will coordinate financial activities with colleagues at their respective local branch with responsibility in providing exceptional customer service and meeting sales goal set by the Bank. S/he will be responsible for the administration and efficiency of daily operations in the branch. As Branch Manager, s/he must assure and maintain compliance to all Bank policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal banking regulations.
Call Center Representatives (2 openings) & Supervisor (1 opening)
The main responsibility of a Call Center Customer Service Representative is to provide quality service to our customers but not limited to only receiving inbound and making outbound telephone inquiries from internal and/or external customers in our call center. Provide information, follow-up on customer inquiries, requests; make collections calls; resolve issues promptly.
Cash Management Support (1 opening)
The duty of a Cash Management Support provides a full range of professional, technical, product, and general support to our online banking clients and bank personnel team. The Cash Management Support will provide supporting documents as needed to communicate technical instructions and concepts terms to clients.
Commercial Loan Underwriter (3 openings)
This position provides support to our business banking and commercial real estate lending teams in the origination and servicing of credit relationships. As a Commercial Loan Underwriter, s/he will independently underwrite all credit requests and analyzing the repayment capacity of new applicants and existing obligors. S/he may support the monitoring of borrower compliance with approved terms, portfolio management, and assisting in the administration of credit relationships.
Customer Care Center Specialist (2 openings)
This position provides back-office support for customers, branch networks, and other departments. Responds to various inquiries; resolves more complex issues; identifies and implements ongoing efficiency improvements. Develops and implements branch and departmental operations procedures. The position is responsible for ensuring minimal losses, conformance with bank policy, state, and federal regulations, and meeting customer service expectations and standards, as well as supporting the branches/departments in meeting customer service expectations and standards.
Loan Processor (1 opening)
Loan Processor’s responsibility are to check, sort, and compile data relevant to loan applications. S/he reviews loan applicants’ credit reports, income, and collateral. An important role of a Loan Processor is to estimate liabilities and assets relevant for processing customers’ loan applications.
Portfolio Manager (2 openings)
The Portfolio Manager is responsible for the administrative management of the specifically assigned lending relationships of commercial and SBA loan portfolios. The Portfolio Manager will act as a resource to the Relationship Manager for his / her accounts, and also be the primary account manager for those loans that do not have a designated Relationship Manager.
Senior Beneficial Banker (3 openings)
A Senior Beneficial Banker has a great responsibility to perform the daily tasks of our branch and maintaining a quality customer services to our customers. S/he must remain abreast of our customer products and services. Managing customer accounts, taking payments, processing deposits or withdraws, verifying cash.
SVP, Market Manager (1 opening)
The Regional Manager is responsible for the oversight of all sales and business development activities in the Portland market related to commercial and small business lending, deposit products, cash management sales, and other commercial products and services offered by the Bank. S/he will actively engage with the Portland community, non-profits, and business associations in promoting a positive leadership and direction for the region.

Developing the Next Generation of "Beneficial Banking" Leaders & Ambassadors
To build the pipeline for the next generation of leaders, Beneficial State Bank and Foundation are proud to offer an intensive summer internship program which provides valuable work and learning experience to high-caliber students interested in beneficial banking, community economic development and responsible financial services. Through this 9-week program – with tracks for both collegiate and MBA students – interns work on challenging projects and complete deliverables designed to advance key initiatives and programs at Beneficial State.
Under the direction and mentorship of bank staff, each intern will complete a capstone project and present their findings to the executive leadership team at the end of the program. Additionally, to supplement the learning experience, interns gain exposure to community and socially-responsible banking through the "Beneficial Banking" Curriculum & Speaker Series. Led by experts in the fields of community banking, investing, and responsible finance, these workshops provide exposure to the challenges confronted by professionals in the industry and include site visits for interns to see the work in action.
Past interns have both joined the Beneficial State team after graduation and leveraged their rich internship experience into careers in financial services and a variety of socially-responsible sectors.

Application & Process
Each year, we conduct a nationwide search for the best and brightest to join Beneficial State. We look for highly skilled individuals whose passion for economic justice and environmental sustainability match the vision and goals of our organization. While we primarily target students pursuing an MBA or a related graduate degree, we will have a track for exceptional undergraduates who are completing their degrees this year or have graduated within the last year. Individuals from other academic disciplines are also strongly encouraged to submit an application.
