Commercial Underwriter - Oakland
AVP, Cash Management Support
Location: Portland, OR
The duty of a Cash Management Support provides a full range of professional, technical, product, and general support to our online banking clients and bank personnel team. The Cash Management Support will provide supporting documents as needed to communicate technical instructions and concepts terms to clients.
Location: Seattle, WA
The primary duty of a Beneficial Banker varies from greeting customers to processing deposits and payments as well as maintaining our customers’ accounts. The Beneficial Banker will assist in verifying customer identities, posting their loan payments and balancing all daily transactions.
Locations: Bakersfield, CA, and Fresno, CA
Branch Manager will coordinate financial activities with colleagues in our banking branch with responsibility in providing an exceptional customer service and meeting sales goals set by the Bank. S/he will be responsible for the administration and efficiency of daily operations in the branch. As Branch Manager, s/he must assure and maintain compliance to all Bank policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal banking regulations.
Call Center Customer Service Representatives (7 openings)
Location: Fresno, CA
The main responsibility of a Call Center Customer Service Representative is to provide quality service to the customers of Beneficial State, but not limited to only receiving inbound and making outbound telephone inquiries from internal and/or external customers in our call center. Provide information, follow through on customer inquiries, requests; make collections calls; resolve issues promptly.
Commercial Loan Officer
Location: North Hollywood, CA
As a Commercial Loan Officer, one must possess the ability to work in a fast paced environment and maintain a professional manner at all time. Utilize one’s collaboration and teamwork aptitude to analyze and develop strategic solutions to best meet the needs of our customers. S/he will also conduct multiple outbound calls to potential prospects and existing customers about our services and products.

Compliance Analyst has great responsibilities of developing, implementing, maintaining, and evaluating compliance policies and procedures. As a supporting and leadership role, the Compliance Analyst will oversee matters of regulatory inquiries, complaints, and be a resource to our key leading managers. Monitor work tasks associated with Compliance Review and design to assess the effectiveness of the regulatory compliance program. Implement programs to enhance compliance awareness throughout the Bank.
Location: Oakland, CA
Credit Analysts support the business banking and commercial real estate lending teams in the origination and servicing of credit relationships. They are responsible for independently underwriting all credit requests and analyzing the repayment capacity of new applicants and existing obligors. They may recommend loan structures, terms, covenants, and risk ratings. Additionally, they may support the monitoring of borrower compliance with approved terms, portfolio management, and assisting in the administration of credit relationships.
Information Technology Support
Location: Oakland, CA
This position provides IT Support and performs system and network troubleshooting from simple to complex technical, programs, and general IT operations for multiple Beneficial State locations. This position requires the analytical ability to evaluate the effectiveness our existing information processing systems and to creatively develop new systems to improve production and required workflow of our business.
Loan Servicing Specialist I
Location: Sacramento, CA
A Loan Servicing Specialist I is responsible for loan servicing activities, taking payments, advance processing, warehouse transaction processing, and file maintenance on existing loans. S/he will also be responsible for the production and maintenance of collateral files and creation of online files in DocuShare. Other responsibilities as assigned, such as following up on loan insurance, interaction with Bank’s insurance vendor, loan boarding, transaction posting, tickler entry, and update.

The Portfolio Manager is responsible for the administrative management of the specifically assigned lending relationships of commercial and SBA loan portfolios. The Portfolio Manager will act as a resource to the Relationship Manager for his / her accounts, and also be the primary account manager for those loans that do not have a designated Relationship Manager.

As Senior Accountant, s/he will have a strong foundation of GAAP accounting and an intermediate systems background including a strong aptitude for working with Excel, various reporting tools, and multiple entities. The core functions will be heavily focused on the monthly close functions, daily activities, along with supporting regulatory and internal reporting and projects.

A Senior Beneficial Banker has a great responsibility to perform the daily tasks of our branch and maintaining a quality customer services to our customers. VP, Relationship and Client Services Manager
Location: Portland, CA
The responsibilities of a VP, Relationship and Client Services Manager is to provide guidance and expertise to Sales Officers and Branch Specialist which includes marketing, selling and implementing the Bank’s commercial depository services and cash management products to customers and prospects. As a liaison between the Customer and Service department of the Bank, s/he will support and address to complex sales and service issues while monitoring the market conditions and trends.

"Beneficial Banking" Summer Internship Program
Developing the Next Generation of "Beneficial Banking" Leaders & Ambassadors
To build the pipeline for the next generation of leaders, Beneficial State Bank and Foundation are proud to offer an intensive summer internship program which provides valuable work and learning experience to high-caliber students interested in beneficial banking, community economic development and responsible financial services. Through this 9-week program – with tracks for both collegiate and MBA students – interns work on challenging projects and complete deliverables designed to advance key initiatives and programs at Beneficial State.
Under the direction and mentorship of bank staff, each intern will complete a capstone project and present their findings to the executive leadership team at the end of the program. Additionally, to supplement the learning experience, interns gain exposure to community and socially-responsible banking through the "Beneficial Banking" Curriculum & Speaker Series. Led by experts in the fields of community banking, investing, and responsible finance, these workshops provide exposure to the challenges confronted by professionals in the industry and include site visits for interns to see the work in action.
Past interns have both joined the Beneficial State team after graduation and leveraged their rich internship experience into careers in financial services and a variety of socially-responsible sectors.

Each year, we conduct a nationwide search for the best and brightest to join Beneficial State. We look for highly skilled individuals whose passion for economic justice and environmental sustainability match the vision and goals of our organization. While we primarily target students pursuing an MBA or a related graduate degree, we will have a track for exceptional undergraduates who are completing their degrees this year or have graduated within the last year. Individuals from other academic disciplines are also strongly encouraged to submit an application.
